OstroVit curcumin + black pepper + ginger is a dietary supplement in tablets containing turmeric rhizome extract (Curcuma longa L.) standardized to 95% curcuminoids, ginger root extract (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) standardized to 5% gingerols and black pepper fruit extract (Piper nigrum L.) standardized with 95% piperine.

Curcumin is a natural chemical compound extracted from the spice known as Curcuma. The compound is used as a yellow-orange food colouring and as a powerful antioxidant from the polyphenolic compounds exhibiting anti-inflammatory activity and the ability to increase the number of antioxidants produced by the body. Its bioavailability for our body improves the presence of piperine, which is why it is so crucial that both substances are taken together. Curcumin is often used to support the treatment of dry eye syndrome, conjunctivitis, glaucoma and ischemic retinopathy. Many studies indicate that the curcuminoids contained in curcumin may support neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease.
